Directed by Bobby and Peter Farrelly and based on the novel by Nick Hornby and subsequent film about an English soccer team, the romantic comedy stars Jimmy Fallon and Drew Barrymore, whose relationship is affected by his dedication to the 2004 Red Sox. Cameo roles involve Red Sox players and scenes are shot in the Back Bay, Downtown, East Boston, Fenway Park, and the North End. The final scenes of the move must be re-shot when the team actually ends its long championship drought and Red Sox win their first World Series since 1918.
